About PST Sensors

PST Sensors was founded  in December 2010 by David Britton and Margit Harting, with the University of Cape Town  (UCT) as a minority share holder. From the broad range of applications which can only be realized by the unique features of printed silicon technology, temperature sensors have proven to have the fastest market entry for both existing and new applications.

We have a strong focus on product development, to cater for the needs of our customers. All our devices are designed for their specific function and environment. PST Sensors works closely with the UCT NanoSciences Innovation Centre, and other academic institutions, for basic nanomaterials R&D and pre-commercial prototyping.

PST Sensors is actively commercializing its first range of temperature sensors, and promoting the worldwide adoption of printed silicon electronics by:

  • engaging in customer-driven joint development projects for high volume end-user applications,
  • developing new applications of the printed silicon technology,
  • working with strategic partners in all areas to improve the availability and quality of the materials and processes in the printed silicon value chain (nanoparticle production, ink formulation, printing processes, integration into other products),
  • small scale manufacturing for high-end, low volume specialist sensor applications, as well as  evaluation devices for developers and original equipment manufacturers.
